About this cartoon: There have been a number of stories of companies folding and taking their pension funds with them, leaving thousands of poor bastards who'd worked all their lives and were counting on these funds for their retirements cut off from what they'd worked for for so many years.
Noteworthy: The final panel originally had him as a grocery clerk, but my editor asked why that job was being singled out. I reworked it into an echo of the first panel, which I think made the cartoon stronger anyway.
